Brett Favre will not make another miraculous recovery to play this week. NFL Network's Jason La Canfora reported that Favre will be inactive for Tuesday night's game against the Eagles. Joe Webb will start.
Favre, whose record streak of 297 consecutive starts ended in Week 14, played in Week 15 against the Bears, despite being ruled out two days earlier. He sustained a concussion against the Bears and left the game in the second quarter.
Tuesday will be Webb's first career start. He completed 15-of-26 passes for 129 yards and two interceptions when he replaced Favre. He also rushed for 38 yards and a score.
Patrick Ramsey will be Webb's backup.
The way we see it
This is no surprise, even with the iron man, as Favre had failed to pass his concussion tests, and this year's stricter mandates on concussions will keep him out on Tuesday night. RB Adrian Peterson is expected to play after missing Week 15.
