Dwayne Bowe owners were forced to ride a rollercoaster of emotions this season as their guy was all over the map. In the end, though, everything turned out OK.
After a pedestrian first month in which he totaled single-digit catches and just one TD, it looked like the receiver's disappointing '09 campaign was going to carry over into 2010. But then, something clicked. Bowe proceeded to go on a mind-boggling seven-game stretch in which he caught at least one TD pass in every contest and piled up 49 receptions for 733 yards and 13 TDs in that span. It looked like he was on his way to one of the all-time great fantasy seasons.
However, things then took another turn. In his next three outings, the Chief hauled in a mere three balls for 56 yards, including a shutout in Week 13, dashing the hopes of many of his owners during the fantasy playoffs. After the unprecedented run he went on, nobody saw this steep drop-off coming.
But if those with Bowe on their squads were able to weather the storm and make it to championship week, they got a big dose of redemption from the fourth-year wideout. Bowe rebounded with 6-153-1 receiving on Sunday vs. the Titans, giving him a league-high 15 TD grabs. It was a fitting end to a breakout season for Bowe that certainly had its highs and lows.
