The Jets are still trying to secure what the Bears already have clinched — a playoff spot — and this game should be a defensive battle. Chicago's run "D" has held up well throughout the season, but the 1-2 punch of LaDainian Tomlinson and Shonn Greene and a stout offensive line with plenty of size could be a tough matchup for it. New York has to be able to get something going on the ground to take the pressure off QB Mark Sanchez, who is expected to start, and his ailing shoulder.
If their front seven keeps the backs in check, the Bears should be in good shape as they try to stay on top in the race for the No. 2 seed in the NFC. QB Jay Cutler will have to play a clean game, though. The Jets' "D" may be overhyped, but it's still capable of quieting Chicago's 30th-ranked offense. In a close game, the Bears just won't be able to do enough offensively.
Prediction: Jets 17, Bears 16
