Raiders TE Zach Miller was on pace for the most productive season of his career before he suffered a torn plantar fascia in October. He was kept out of just one game — in Week Nine — because of the injury, but it affected his play in November and early December to a point where some wondered if he and the Raiders would have been better-served by keeping him off the game-day roster and giving him more time to heal. He's still being bothered by the injury, but his numbers are moving in the right direction again. After making just five catches from Weeks 8-13, Miller has made four grabs in each of the past two games. The fourth-year veteran has proven he is one of the top tight ends in the league when healthy. As the club's most reliable receiver, one team observer expects that the Raiders will be aggressive in their pursuit to re-sign him when he becomes a free agent this offseason.
