While the Packers have been severely battered by injuries this season, the team has shown an admirable ability, for the most part, to persevere at the positions that have been decimated. But that has not been the case at tight end, where the production since starter Jermichael Finley went down in Week Five with a torn meniscus has been ordinary, at best. Rookies Andrew Quarless and Tom Crabtree and veteran Donald Lee have attempted, in varying degrees, to pick up the slack. Quarless, who some daily team observers believe has Finley-like potential, has gotten the most playing time. But while he's displayed some flashes on occasion, he has struggled more often than not. Team observers believe Crabtree, who has been used primarily as a run blocker, has a bit more receiving ability than he's been given credit for and might become more involved as a pass catcher the rest of the season.
