Chargers ILB Stephen Cooper has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Bengals. He is one of just three Chargers linebackers to play in every game this season.

Cooper suffered a sprained MCL in the Week 15 win over the 49ers. He is expected back for the season finale against the Broncos.

The eighth-year veteran has 43 tackles and a sack this season, in addition to six passes defensed and two forced fumbles. Brandon Siler will likely replace Cooper. The Chargers also have recently-signed Brandon Moore for depth at the position.

The way we see it

The Chargers have used 14 linebackers this season but trail the Chiefs by just one game in the AFC West. Cooper's absence shouldn't hurt too much against the 3-11 Bengals, but the Chargers have little room for error.
