The Broncos placed PK Matt Prater on injured reserve Thursday and activated OL Jeff Byers to the active roster from the practice squad.
Prater missed the last two games with a groin injury. His replacement, Steven Hauschka has converted 5-of-6 field goals.
Prater had been 16-of-18 kicking field goals this season. Byers is a rookie out of USC.
