The Patriots released DT Louis Leonard on Wednesday and signed DE Landon Cohen.

Cohen is in his third NFL season and has played in 22 games with the Lions and Jaguars. He played in two games for Jacksonville this season before being cut on Nov. 9.

Leonard signed with New England on Dec. 15 and was active for the Pats' 31-27 win over the Packers on Sunday night.

The way we see it

The Pats continue to look for guys to plug in on the defensive line with DT Myron Pryor (back) and DE Ron Brace (head) both out. Leonard did not fit the bill.
