The Browns placed TE Evan Moore on injured reserve on Wednesday, the club announced. Moore had missed the past two games with a hip injury.

The 25-year-old Moore hauled in 16 passes for 322 yards and a touchdown (20.9 avg.). He is in his second NFL season.

The way we see it

A wide receiver at Stanford, Moore runs very well for a tight end. The Browns had success lining him out wide, where his size and speed made him a challenging matchup for cornerbacks.

With Moore out, Robert Royal and Alex Smith are the top two tight ends behind Benjamin Watson on Cleveland's depth chart.
