The Bengals announced Wednesday that they have acquired TE Garrett Mills on waivers from the Eagles.
Mills, a fifth-year veteran out of Tulsa, played in seven games for the Eagles this season, with three starts, and had two receptions for 19 yards.
The 6-1, 235-pounder opened the 2010 season with the Vikings, but was released on Sept. 4. He was signed to Philadelphia's practice squad on Sept. 6, and signed to the Eagles' active roster on Sept. 14.
He entered the NFL in 2006 as a fourth-round draft choice of the Patriots. He was with the Vikings from 2007-09. He has played in 16 career games, with three starts, and has nine catches for 110 yards.
