Shaun Ellis has been sued by a Seahawks fan who claims that the Jets DE threw a "large chunk of ice" at him following a game in December 2008.
The Seattle Times reports that Robert Larsen, a Seahawks season-ticket holder, is suing Ellis for causing physical injury, disability, pain, emotional trauma, medical expenses, loss of earnings and other damages. Ellis tossed a snowball into the crowd after Seattle's 13-3 win, though Larsen's attorney claims, "Snowball is a misnomer, it was a large chunk of ice."
Ellis has already been fined $10,000 by the league for the incident, as the NFL prohibits players from interacting with fans in a way that could cause injury.
The Jets were also named a co-defendant in the suit.
