The Cowboys have placed Tony Romo on injured reserve with a broken collarbone.
Romo was hurt in Dallas' Week Seven loss to the Giants, but the team waited to officially end his season until today, as they were holding out a chance he may return. Owner Jerry Jones told the media last Sunday that Romo was still ways away from being able to return to practice.
Jon Kitna is set to be the starting QB the final two weeks of the season, with Stephen McGee as his backup.
To fill Romo's spot on the active roster, the Cowboys signed WR Teddy Williams from their practice squad. A former track star at the University of Texas-San Antonio, Williams should provide more depth to the Dallas receiving corps and likely contribute on special teams.
