The Chargers signed LB Brandon Moore on Tuesday and waived LB Darry Beckwith.
Moore has 15 career sacks but has not played since 2007. He spent six seasons with the 49ers and recorded 6½ sacks in 2006. He had 22 special-teams tackles in 2004.
The Cardinals released him in 2008 and Moore spent the last two seasons in the UFL with the Las Vegas Locomotives.
Beckwith spent 2009 on the Chargers' practice squad. He recorded one tackle in last Thursday night's win over the 49ers.
The way we see it
Injuries have forced the Chargers to do a fair amount of shuffling in the linebacker corps. Moore has plenty of experience and should also help on coverage teams, an area the in which Chargers have also been lacking.
