Broncos head coach Eric Studesville announced Monday that Tim Tebow will remain the team's starting quarterback.

Tebow had his first career start in Sunday's loss to the Raiders and completed 8-of-16 passes for 138 yards and a TD while rushing for 78 yards and a 40-yard TD run.

Kyle Orton had started the team's first 13 games of the season and was one of the league's leading passers early on. He is suffering from a rib injury.

The way we see it

Tebow impressed in his first professional start and at 3-11, the Broncos want to spend the last two games looking at what they have for the future with Tebow. Josh McDaniels had made the controversial choice to draft Tebow in the first round, and with McDaniels fired some people wondered what that meant for Tebow's future in Denver, but it seems that Studesville and the organization want to go forward with the rookie to close the season.

Fantasy Spin

With Week 16 being the championship week in most fantasy leagues, it's probably too big of a risk to pluck Tebow off waivers, but he will be going against a porous Texans defense. Brandon Lloyd caught Tebow's one touchdown pass and we could see the rookie sling it a little more on Sunday.
