Vikings QB Brett Fave has been elevated to the 45-man game-day roster and will start against the Bears on Monday, but RB Adrian Peterson will not play.

Favre was orginally listed as being out for the game but was upgraded to questionable, a designation that in the NFL stands for 50-50. Favre went out on the field and tested his injured shoulder as snow covered TCF Bank Stadium a few hours before the game and apparently will be available for the contest.

Joe Webb was originally scheduled to start the game and could be used in a package of plays, as he was against the Lions last week.

A thigh bruise has apparently made it too tough for Peterson to play tonight. He also has been battling knee and ankle injuries.
