The Buccaneers promoted TE Nathan Overbay to the active roster from the practice squad and waived C Donovan Raiola.

Overbay joined the Bucs' practice squad on Oct. 26, having entered the league as an undrafted free agent with the Broncos in April.

The Bucs brought back Raiola on Dec. 7 and he played in one game with the team.

The way we see it

Tampa Bay signed Raiola to bring needed depth to the offensive line. With the Bucs' playoff hopes barely breathing, they likely believe that their O-line will be all right without Raiola.
