Lions OG Stephen Peterman got a big win one day before the Lions-Buccaneers game. According to MLive.com, the NFL revoked $10,000 in fines of Peterman for two chop-block penalties called in Week Nine against the Jets.
Peterman was fined $5,000 for each penalty, but after reviewing the plays, the league told Peterman that he didn't commit any penalties.
The way we see it
The league has gotten plenty of attention for the fines it has levied each week against players in the crackdown on player safety. But in this case, the NFL showed it is willing to review plays weeks later and take back the fines if warranted.
