The Titans have had to cope with defensive line injuries all season, and particularly recently, and DT Tony Brown (knees) and DE Dave Ball (concussion, hip) were placed on injured reserve leading up to the Week 15 game vs. Houston. Head coach Jeff Fisher said the Titans will seek to add more size to the middle of the defensive line in the offseason. "Our division is such that you're going to need some big bodies inside," he said. "Especially when you're playing run games like at Houston and Jacksonville." The way we hear it, the Titans are happy with their current group of tackles, meaning any bigger reinforcements could be reserves playing in a rotation. Overall, the Titans' run defense has been solid all season, especially considering the circumstances and when looking at it on a yards-per-carry-allowed basis. The Titans have allowed 4.0 yards per carry through 13 games and have continued to be stout in this regard even as opponents have run more often in recent games.
