With Vikings QB Brett Favre's historic record of 297 consecutive regular-season starts coming to an end last Monday, Colts QB Peyton Manning now possesses the longest active streak (205). "When you really think about him just being there for his teammates every single Sunday, that's what it really has been about," said Manning, who admitted that he has not even thought about breaking the record. "And it's what he's done with those games. He's been there for his teammates, and he's helped his team win a bunch of those games. It truly is amazing. I don't use that word a whole lot, but it is an amazing feat and streak. It's awfully impressive." Manning did acknowledge that "all records are on standby" with the possibility of the league going to an 18-game schedule. The way we hear it, Manning is taking it one season at a time and it is far too early to speculate about him breaking a record sometime in 2016.
