Just hours before their Week 15 game the Chargers have made a roster move, signing LBs Darry Beckwith and Brandon Lang from their practice squad. To create the room, San Diego waived RB Curtis Brinkley and placed S Pat Watkins on I.R. due to a knee injury.

Beckwith has been on the Chargers' practice squad for parts of the 2009 and 2010 seasons, but has yet to play in an NFL game. Lang was on the San Diego roster for seven games this season, but did not record any statistics.

The way we see it

San Diego is banged up defensively, with LBs Larry English and Brandon Siler both missing practice this week. The team likely wanted some insurance for tonight's game vs. the 49ers in case either of them cannot play.
