The status of three Packers starters — QB Aaron Rodgers (concussion), ROLB Frank Zombo (knee) and OLG Daryn Colledge (knee) — for the team's next game must be considered murky at best after none of them practiced, according to Wednesday’s official injury report for the Green Bay-New England game this Sunday evening.

The report also confirmed that starting DRE Cullen Jenkins (calf) definitely will miss the Patriots game. Five other Packers participated on a limited basis Wednesday — starting OLT Chad Clifton (knees), starting LOLB Clay Matthews (shin), starting DLE Ryan Pickett (ankle), starting ORG Josh Sitton (knee) and CB Pat Lee (ankle).

Six Patriots players did not participate in the Wednesday practice, including QB Tom Brady (right shoulder/foot), top rookie CB Devin McCourty (rib) and starting DL Gerard Warren (knee). Also excused were DL Ron Brace (concussion), NT Myron Pryor (back) and DL Mike Wright (concussion).

The way we see it

While obviously not as big of a blow as the loss of Rodgers would be, Zombo’s inability to play Sunday evening would not be good news for a Green Bay run defense that had all kinds of problems with the Lions last week.

The Packers probably could get by without Colledge a lot easier than Zombo, although Jason Spitz was terrible last week after being forced to replace Colledge.

For the Patriots, it would be a stunner if Brady were unable to play Sunday. But the same can't be said of McCourty and Warren, who both apper to be legitimate question marks for Sunday night.
