The Browns promoted CB Coye Francies from the practice squad to their roster on Tuesday and waived CB Eric King.

The 6-foot, 185-pound Francies was a sixth-round pick of Cleveland in 2009 and appeared in six games with the Browns a season ago, recording  four tackles on defense and two on special teams. The Browns waived him on Sept. 3. Francies, 24, played with the UFL's Las Vegas Locomotives in 2010 and intercepted two passes in eight games. The Browns re-signed him to their practice squad on Dec. 1.

King played in four games with Cleveland, notching four tackles on defense and two on special teams.

Also on Tuesday, the Browns signed LB Eric Bakhtiari to the practice squad. Bakhtiari, 26, has had stints on the practice squads of Miami, San Francisco and Kansas City in 2010.
