DE Derrick Burgess has been signed by the Eagles, who are in need of pass-rush help after placing rookie Brandon Graham on injured reserve Monday.

Burgess played for the Eagles from 2001-2004 and has also seen time with the Raiders and Patriots. He has 52 career sacks, including five last season with New England.

The way we see it

With a big NFC East showdown against the Giants this week, the Eagles need to have their pass rush at full strength. Burgess hasn't played in the NFL this season, but he is an experienced player who can contribute without much preparation time.
