Here's our weekly look at the contributions made by Browns rookies this season:

CB Joe Haden (first round): Haden, the Browns' starting left cornerback, knocked away a fourth-down pass intended for Bills WR Stevie Johnson in the first quarter of Sunday's 13-6 loss at Buffalo. Haden leads the Browns with five interceptions.

S T.J. Ward (second round): Ward, who's started all 13 games this season, was credited with 12 tackles (10 solo) by the team at Buffalo. He leads the Browns with 104 tackles (81 solo) on defense and has added a team-best 16 special-teams tackles.

QB Colt McCoy (third round): McCoy was the Browns' No. 3 quarterback Sunday at Buffalo. He's missed the last three games with a high-ankle sprain. “I’m going to see where we’re at on Wednesday and kind of go from there," head coach Eric Mangini said of McCoy Monday. "He was able to get to where he could function as a third (quarterback), so we just got to see where that is and think about it and we’ll go from there." McCoy has a 2-3 record in five starts with Cleveland.

OG Shawn Lauvao (third round): Lauvao, who played as a reserve in Week 14 at Buffalo, has played in seven games this season with one start. He backs up Floyd Womack.

WR Carlton Mitchell (sixth round): Mitchell appeared as a substitute in Week 14. He has played in five games as a reserve this season. He's listed as a third-string wideout behind Brian Robiskie and Joshua Cribbs.

DL Brian Sanford (undrafted free agent): The Browns' third-string nose tackle was inactive in Week 14.

Practice-squad members

DL Travis Ivey (undrafted free agent): Waived from the roster on Sept. 4 and signed to the practice squad Sept. 5.

RB Quinn Porter (undrafted free agent): The Browns signed him to the practice squad on Nov. 23. The Stillman (Ala.) College product had a stint on the Redskins' practice squad in November and was originally signed by Green Bay.

RB Montario Hardesty (second round, No. 59) is on injured reserve after suffering a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee in the Browns' final preseason game. ...SS Larry Asante (fifth round): He was waived on Sept. 4 and signed to the Browns' practice squad the next day. The Buccaneers signed him to their 53-man roster on Nov. 30. ... DE Clifton Geathers (sixth round, No. 186) was waived by the Browns on Sept. 4. ... WR Johnathan Haggerty (undrafted free agent) was waived/injured on Aug. 16 with a foot injury and is currently on Cleveland's injured-reserve list.
