Each season, a couple players come out of nowhere to be darlings of the fantasy playoffs. In 2010, one of those players could be Redskins RB Ryan Torain.

Missing four games because of a hamstring injury, Torain returned with a purpose Sunday, running for a career-high 172 yards on 24 carries against the Bucs. It was quite a showing from a guy at less than full strength who hadn't played since late October.

This isn't the first time we've heard from Torain this season. The Mike Shanahan favorite put together back-to-back 100-yard games prior to his injury and had the look of a fantasy difference maker. Then injury struck, and it appeared he wouldn't be a major factor again this season. But the fact that he received 24 of the Redskins' 28 rushing attempts Sunday proves otherwise.

With Dallas and Jacksonville on the schedule the next two weeks, things set up well for Torain to end '10 on a high note. If he was dumped in your league, he's well worth picking up this week, as he should see lots of action to close out the campaign and could be the missing link in some fantasy title runs.
