The reeling Jets, who have lost back-to-back games, reportedly will be without ORT Damien Woody for the rest of the regular season.

League sources told ESPNNewYork.com that Woody will have arthroscopic knee surgery this week and that it's possible he could return to the playoffs.

Woody has been banged up since injuring his right knee on Nov. 21. He re-injured it in Sunday's loss to the Dolphins in the first quarter and did not return.

Backup Wayne Hunter replaced Woody and allowed three sacks. Hunter likely would get his first career start on Sunday against the Steelers.

The way we see it

New York's entire offense has struggled in recent weeks, and changing right tackles before a game against the Steelers is a recipe for disaster. Pittsburgh loves to use its zone-blitz scheme and come after quarterbacks from all different angles, so it will be vital that Hunter and his fellow linemen know their protection and give QB Mark Sanchez enough time to make throws down the field.
