Jets strength and conditioning coach Sal Alosi has been suspended by the team for the remainder of the season, including any possible playoff games, and been fined $25,000.

Alosi tripped Dolphins CB Nolan Carroll when the player was covering a punt Sunday in a game that Miami won. The coach apologized publicly earlier Monday for his actions.

The way we see it

What Alosi did was foolish and he deserves the punishment he has received. The fine is a large amount for a coach who is not making an enormous salary, but Alosi should have thought about that before he stuck his knee out and interfered with the game.
