Buccaneers LB Geno Hayes was arrested early Monday morning at a Tampa nightclub, the Tampa Tribune reported. Hayes was charged with misdemeanor trespassing and disorderly conduct.

The arrest report said that Hayes "was loud, verbally abusive and made threats to myself and staff from the club." Hayes was tasered by the officer for not leaving the club.

He was released from jail at 5 a.m. after posting bail.

Hayes is in his third season in the NFL. He has started all 13 games for the Bucs and has 61 tackles and an interception returned for a touchdown. He also recorded his first sack of the season in Sunday's win over the Redskins.

The way we see it

Hayes will be hearing from the league, as this is likely considered a violation of the personal conduct policy. The Bucs cannot afford to lose any more players in their push for the playoffs, especially on the defensive side of the ball. They lost DT Gerald McCoy for the season with a biceps injury on Sunday, added to CB Aqib Talib, S Cody Grimm, DT Brian Price and C Jeff Faine already being out for the year. LB Quincy Black could also land on injured reserve after suffering an injury Sunday.
