The Packers’ offensive, defensive and special-teams players of the week in their 7-3 loss to the Lions in Week 14:

Offense: TE Andrew Quarless

On a day in which Detroit’s defense limited the Packers to only 258 total yards, Quarless was the offense’s most productive performer, catching five of the six passes thrown his way for a team-high 62 yards, including a long gain of 20. It was the rookie tight end’s best effort of the year since stepping in as the primary replacement for the injured Jermichael Finley.

Defense: DLE Ryan Pickett

With fellow DE Cullen Jenkins on the sidelines with a calf injury, Pickett turned it up a notch, registering one of the Packers’ two sacks, two tackles for loss and nine tackles.

Special teams: P Tim Masthay

On a very busy afternoon due to the offense’s inability to sustain drives, Masthay had eight punts averaging 50.5 yards (43.4 net), including a touchback and three punts inside the 20-yard line. Dangerous Lions PR Stefan Logan was limited to 37 yards on four punt returns. Green Bay’s John Kuhn deserves honorable mention for his punishing tackle of Logan on a punt return in the first quarter.
