Perhaps even Mother Nature can't prevent Vikings QB Brett Favre's consecutive-games streak from falling.
NFL Network's Jason LaCanfora is reporting that Favre is telling his teammates that, even with the Vikings' game being delayed a day and moved to Detroit, he doesn't think he can play Monday due to a shoulder injury suffered last week vs. the Bills.
Favre told ESPN's Ed Werder Sunday morning that if the Metrodome roof had not collapsed and the game against the Giants not been moved to 7:20 p.m. ET on Monday, he would not have played. Favre currently has played in 297 consecutive games, an NFL record for positional players.
