Broncos CB Perrish Cox will play but not start on Sunday after being arrested on Thursday night for sexual assault.
Cox has started eight games this season and was released from jail on bond Friday. The fifth-round pick in April's draft has an interception and 10 passes defensed this season.
The Broncos released a statement on Cox Sunday afternoon announcing that they have fined him. "While the Broncos have limited authority with regard to potential discipline stemming from this specific matter under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, the club has fined Perrish the maximum amount for missing meetings and practice on Friday.
"The Denver Broncos consider this a very serious matter and will continue to closely monitor the situation."

Cox's arrest added insult to injury in a drama-filled week for the Broncos who changed coaches and are about to miss the playoffs for the fifth consecutive season. Cox had been a bright spot as a rookie and will certainly get suspended by the league at some point for violating its Personal Conduct Policy.
