The Dolphins have placed WR Brian Hartline on injured reserve and signed TE Dedrick Epps from their practice squad.
Hartline was Miami's third receiver this season, catching 43 passes for 615 yards and a touchdown. The second-year pro had made great strides since his rookie season, but the team decided to shut him down for the year after he had surgery on his finger, which was injured in Week 13 vs. the Browns.
Epps, who went to college at Miami, was a seventh-round pick of the Chargers last April but was cut by San Diego at the end of training camp. He had been on the Dolphins' practice squad since the start of the season.
