There was a massive void in the Saints' backfield earlier this season when RBs Pierre Thomas and Reggie Bush missed long stretches with injuries. Bush returned from a broken leg in Week 12 and Thomas is expected to play in Week 14 for the first time since he injured his ankle in Week Three. With the two top two backs dealing with their injuries, undrafted rookie Chris Ivory took advantage of his opportunity to get involved. He has made a major impression on head coach Sean Payton, who has said he doesn't want to reduce Ivory's workload even though Bush and Thomas are getting back to 100 percent. Ivory, a violent and powerful runner, has scored all five of his touchdowns in the past three games, which were all New Orleans victories, and he's gaining 5.2 yards per carry on the season. Ivory appears to have a firm hold on his job with Thomas heading toward free agency.
