The NFL suspended Panthers OG Duke Robinson for four games without pay for violating the league's substance-abuse policy.

Robinson, who is on injured reserve, will still serve the suspension over the final four games of this season.

A fifth-round pick in 2009, Robinson showed up to camp overweight this season before landing on I.R. with a torn knee ligament.

Robinson was the second player suspended on Friday, as Patriots LB Brandon Spikes was also handed a four-game ban.
