The Vikings were without three key offensive players at Thursday's practice.

QB Brett Favre, WR Percy Harvin and OLG Steve Hutchinson all missed practice, and Favre likely will be a game-time decision on Sunday against the Giants. He suffered a sprained shoulder on his first pass attempt in the win over the Bills and didn't return.

"I think he's made some progress," offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell said. "He has a little bit more range of motion. I see him stretching and moving around."

"It's still pretty painful. I have seen him progress a little bit."

Bevell said there will be a process of evaluating Favre and determining whether he can play in his 298th straight game.

"I think right now we just need to determine what he can do and how much pain he can tolerate, if he can even do it at all, is what we'll be evaluating," Bevell said.

Harvin hasn't practiced in more than a week because of continued migraines. Hutchinson suffered a broken right thumb and gave way last week to rookie Chris DeGeare, who made his first start.
