Falcons ORT Tyson Clabo was already considered a tough mauler in the running game heading into the season and he appears to be getting more comfortable against pass rushers, according to a team observer.

Few quarterbacks have enjoyed better pass protection than Matt Ryan, who has been sacked 17 times this season, and Clabo stood out against the Packers in Week 12, keeping OLB Clay Matthews from getting a sack in the game. Clabo has been durable, starting 55 consecutive games, and he could position himself to have multiple teams interested in his services when he becomes a free agent this offseason.

Atlanta tendered Clabo at the first-round level when he was a restricted free agent in the offseason, but the sixth-year veteran will be an unrestricted free agent after this season. The Falcons could consider 2009 fifth-round pick Garrett Reynolds, who has not played in a game this season, to replace Clabo if he departs in free agency.
