The Cowboys announced Wednesday that they have released DE Jeremy Clark and claimed DE Clifton Geathers off waivers.
Clark had signed with the club on Nov. 11 and appeared in three games, recording three tackles.
Geathers was released by the Seahawks on Dec. 7 after signing with the club on Nov. 27. He was drafted by the Browns in the sixth round (186th overall) of the 2010 NFL draft out of South Carolina, but was released by the Browns in early September.
The 6-7, 299-pound Geathers signed with the Dolphins on Sept. 5. He appeared in one game with Miami, spending time on the Dolphins' practice squad before his release on Nov. 26.
The way we see it
Clark was strictly a backup. Geathers, who has size comparable to former Cowboys DE Chris Canty, might be worth developing.
