The Bears tinkered with their roster Tuesday, signing OG Herman Johnson to the 53-man roster. Johnson, a fifth-round pick of the Cardinals in 2009, was signed off of Arizona's practice squad. He did not play in a regular-season game for the Cardinals last season and spent all of this season on the practice squad.

Chicago waived DE Barry Turner to clear a spot for Johnson, and it also made changes to the practice squad. LB Marcus Buggs, who spent the first six weeks of this season on the Bears' practice squad, and WR Jeff Moturi were signed, while DE Ervin Baldwin, WR Freddie Barnes and OT James Marten were cut from the practice squad.

Moturi signed with the Packers as an undrafted free agent earlier this year and he has since spent time on the Colts' practice squad.
