Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers pulled out a late victory on Sunday night vs. the Ravens, but it came with a cost.
According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Roethlisberger will require surgery on his nose, which was broken in the first half after the quarterback took a hit from Ravens NT Haloti Ngata. The procedure will not force Roethlisberger to miss any games.
Pittsburgh's special teams also took a hit, as P Daniel Sepulveda tore the ACL in his right knee, ending his season. PK Shaun Suisham filled in for Sepulveda in the second half, and the team is expected to sign a replacement punter in the coming days.
The way we see it
Whenever the Steelers and Ravens get together it is a physical battle, and Week 13's matchup was no exception. Roethlisberger should recover without much problem from his injury, but finding a quality punter now may be a tough task.
