Rams LB Na'il Diggs will miss the rest of the season with a torn pectoral muscle suffered in Sunday's win over the Cardinals.

Diggs, an 11-year veteran, had started all 12 games this season, recording 36 tackles and two passes defensed. He spent four seasons in Carolina and six with the Packers. The Rams announced that the injury will require a five-month recovery period.

The way we see it

This is a blow for a young, playoff-contending team, as Diggs was doing a very solid job and providing veteran leadership. Likely, the physical Larry Grant will take over on the strong side, a spot where most team insiders say he is best suited.
