The NFL has announced that the originally-scheduled "Sunday Night Football" game for Week 15, Packers at Patriots, will not be flexed and therefore will remain on NBC with an 8:20 p.m. ET kickoff.

It will be the first-ever meeting between two of the league's elite quarterbacks — Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady. The game also is likely to have postseason implications in both conferences, as the 8-4 Packers and 9-2 Patriots are both are in the middle of the hunt for first place in their respective divisions.

The way we see it

No surprise by the league and NBC on this move to keep this game in prime time, as these two large fan bases are likely to tune in for this big game. There are some other intriguing games to be played in Week 15, such as Saints at Ravens and Jets at Steelers, but Packers at Patriots should be as good as any of them.
