The Broncos placed LB Joe Mays and TE Dan Gronkowski on injured reserve on Monday following injuries suffered in the team's Week 13 loss to the Chiefs.

Mays blew out his left knee and Gronkowski injured his left ankle in the 10-6 loss. Gronkowski did re-enter the game after getting hurt.

Mays is tied for eighth on the team with 40 tackles this season. Gronkowski had eight catches for 65 yards this season.

The way we see it

The Broncos haven't filled the roster spots yet, though another linebacker or a defensive back could be added. Mays' injury is just another blow to the Broncos' defense this season.
