Owner Jerry Jones often will say what Cowboys coaches will not about players, so it was telling when he said that Tashard Choice would remain the team's No. 3 running back and would play only if Marion Barber was hurt. So, as opposed to this being a chance for Choice to impress the coaches against the Colts and perhaps open the door for more chances down the stretch and next season, it likely is an audition for another team to make the Cowboys an offer for Choice. Although he has flashed occasionally, Choice is the team's third-stringer and has been consistently there for a reason. He has not shown enough to overtake Barber or Felix Jones and very well could be moved in the offseason if call-up Lonyae Miller can show something. The Cowboys have said that Choice doesn't do enough on special teams to be a regular contributor, so Miller could take his spot if he stands out on coverage and return units.
