The Raiders have placed QB Bruce Gradkowski on injured reserve with a shoulder injury and signed veteran signalcaller J.T. O'Sullivan.
Gradkowski played in six games this season (starting four), throwing for 1,059 yards, five TDs and seven interceptions. He had been the backup to Jason Campbell early in the season but had emerged as a favorite of head coach Tom Cable before suffering the injury.
Kyle Boller is now Campbell's backup, with O'Sullivan becoming the third-string QB.
The way we see it
Gradkowski is in the last year of his contract, and it will be interesting to see if he returns to Oakland. He is obviously well-liked by Cable, but the head coach's job security is not the strongest, either, and owner Al Davis seems to prefer Campbell.
