The Bears' top two strong-side linebackers, Pisa Tinoisamoa and Nick Roach, are both going to become free agents after the season.

PFW recently asked Roach, a fourth-year veteran who has been backing up Tinoisamoa after starting 15 games last season, if he wants to stay in Chicago beyond 2010.

"I figure if we just keep doing what we're doing, keep handling business on the field, things will kind of play out like they should," he said. " … You never want to get uprooted and have to move, but that's just the business."

It's likely that GM Jerry Angelo will re-sign at least one of them, and there's a good chance he will try to strike deals with both players, we hear. While neither is a star, they're both serviceable and could be relatively cheap to keep. Tinoisamoa will be an unrestricted free agent, but Roach's status is less clear because of the uncertainty about the next Collective Bargaining Agreement.
