Raiders QB Bruce Gradkowski's season could be over after he reinjured his shoulder in Sunday's loss to the Dolphins.

A source told the Oakland Tribune that Gradkowski suffered a third-degree separation of his right (throwing) shoulder. Head coach Tom Cable hadn't gotten the MRI results when he met with the media on Monday but said the team expects Jason Campbell to start in Sunday's game against the Chargers.

Gradkowski first hurt his shoulder Sept. 26 against the Cardinals and aggravated it Oct. 10 against the Chargers. He got a surprise start on Sunday against Miami after Cable had said earlier in the week that Campbell would start. Gradkowski threw two interceptions and a touchdown in the loss.

The way we see it

Campbell was at the helm during the Raiders' three-game winning streak but struggled mightily against the Steelers. Cable ruled out QB Kyle Boller getting a shot to start. Neither Campbell nor Gradkowski have been particularly effective this year. The Raiders have found success with their ground game and defense, but Gradkowski's injury doesn't give Cable many options if Campbell falters again.
