Cowboys QB Tony Romo is closer to returning to the field, and RB Marion Barber might miss a game.

Romo did some throwing at the beginning of Monday's practice according to ESPN Dallas, the first time he has participated in the warm-up portion of practice since suffering a broken collarbone against the Giants in Week Eight. Romo is expected to be ready to play in three weeks.

Barber, on the other hand, did not participate in practice and is day-to-day. He strained his left calf in last Thursday's loss to the Saints. Barber had a rushing touchdown in the loss but has rushed for more than 50 yards only once this season.

The way we see it

Despite being essentially out of the playoff race, the Cowboys have played spirited football since Jason Garrett took over as head coach. Jon Kitna has played well with Romo out. If Barber has to miss Sunday's game against the Colts, Felix Jones and Tashard Choice would handle the workload.

Fantasy Spin

Jones and Choice's fantasy value goes up with Barber out, especially against a poor Colts rushing defense.
