Buccaneers CB Aqib Talib and an official had some words at the end of Sunday's Bucs-Ravens game. Now the league may want to have words of its own with each.

The NFL is looking into a reported verbal confrontation between Talib and the official following the Bucs' 17-10 loss. Talib was upset about a teammate being penalized for pass interference at the end of the first half.

The Tampa Tribune and St. Petersburg Times reported Talib used expletives in his comment to the official and the official responded with an expletive of his own to describe Talib's play. Talib then threatened to punch the official.

The way we see it

Talib, who is having a good season for the upstart Bucs, has shown a short fuse before, getting suspended for the season opener after assaulting a cab driver last year. Commissioner Roger Goodell probably won't be pleased with Talib or with the official regarding his conduct toward Talib.
