Looking for the best players to target on the waiver wire this week? Well, the Fantasy Ticker is just the place for that. Here are the top five pickups you should be looking to add to your roster in Week 13.

HOT PURCHASES

These players should be free agents in many leagues. Pounce on them if you can.

Panthers RB Jonathan Stewart (owned in 53 percent of Yahoo! leagues)
Prior to suffering a concussion, Stewart was in the midst of an extremely disappointing fantasy season. But after missing two games with the injury, he came back looking like a different player Sunday. J-Stew saw only 12 carries in his return at Cleveland, but he was able to churn out 98 yards, with a long run of 31. Mike Goodson actually led the Panthers with 14 rushes, but Stewart's workload should continue to increase as he rounds back into full health. Even in a timeshare with Goodson, Stewart should have some productive games left in him. If an impatient owner dropped him, scoop him up.

Vikings RB Toby Gerhart (10 percent owned)
Gerhart was a popular handcuff pick back in fantasy drafts, but a lot of Adrian Peterson owners either didn't bother taking him or cut him along the way. Well, now is the time to grab him. Peterson left Sunday's game early after injuring both ankles, and an update on his status won't be available until Monday. It's possible that he could miss time, which would swing the door wide open for Gerhart, who could become Minnesota's workhorse back in A.P.'s absence. The rookie, who came in Sunday at Washington to run for 76 yards and a TD on 22 carries, is well worth adding to bolster your backfield.

Seahawks WR Ben Obomanu (3 percent owned)
Obomanu may not be a household name, but he quickly is becoming a favorite in the Seattle receiving corps. The 27-year-old had a career day Sunday vs. the Chiefs, exploding for five catches for 159 yards and a TD, which came from 87 yards out. Entering the starting lineup in recent weeks, he has an impressive 15 grabs for 342 yards and three scores in his last four contests. With Mike Williams hurt, Obomanu looks to be QB Matt Hasselbeck's favorite target, and that could continue for the foreseeable future. Odds are he'll be one of the better wideouts available this week.

Rams WR Danario Alexander (1 percent owned)
Remember him? Alexander, an undrafted rookie out of Missouri, came out of nowhere to catch four passes for 72 yards and a TD in Week Six, making him a hot waiver addition. He injured his knee the following week, though, and hadn't played since. Until Sunday, that is, when he came back to haul in four passes for 95 yards at Denver. Alexander isn't particularly fast, but he's a talented big-play threat whom QB Sam Bradford really seems to like. Even in the Rams' crowded receiving corps, Alexander has managed to stand out. With some very favorable matchups to come, the rookie has plenty of upside.

Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (36 percent owned)
Although he had taken a backseat to fellow rookie TE Aaron Hernandez for most of the year, that hasn't been the case for Gronkowski in recent weeks. The Arizona product has begun to see more snaps than Hernandez, and it has shown in his production. "Gronk" had five catches for 65 yards Thursday at Detroit, and he just had a 5-72-3 effort in Week 10. Although he could be somewhat up-and-down moving forward, Gronkowski is proving to be more than just a red-zone target, so his numbers should get more consistent in the weeks to come. If you need a tight end, he's a fine guy to add even with the Patriots about to hit a very difficult stretch.
