Packers-Falcons prediction

Somehow managing to overcome a multitude of injuries, the Packers are suddenly looking very worthy of the Super Bowl title PFW predicted they would earn before the season began. But in the wide-open NFC, there is a host of equally worthy Super Bowl candidates at the moment, with the Falcons, entering the weekend with a conference-best 8-2 record, at the top of the list.

As well as Green Bay has been playing the last month, I think it runs into a bump on the road to a playoff berth this Sunday in the Georgia Dome, where the Falcons hardly ever lose. I have concerns about the Packers’ secondary, which is undermanned at safety entering this game, and I also think Atlanta’s excellent special teams will be a difference maker at the end of the afternoon. Keep an eye on Falcons dual-threat RB Jason Snelling, whom I think just might steal feature back Michael Turner’s considerable thunder.

 Prediction: Falcons 24, Packers 16
